Real Love

Real Love

A Poem by Donkey!

2004-01-19

I could never have imagined how strong love could be. Until it started to begin, one day, to flow through me. I didn’t know what I was looking for when I looked deep into your eyes. Something I’ve never seen before, but something strong I can’t deny. Why am I always thinking of you? We’re the best of best friends. It’s a feeling no one can pretend, a feeling I wish to pursue. But what if love gets the best of us and we end up too far apart? With nothing else to discuss except our lonely, broken hearts. Is this what true lovers go through? Why does it strain, not pull together? Can’t go through this pain forever, I have to tell you this, have to be true. I can’t live without you, I want to call you mind and if we only knew where to draw the line.

About
My poems are from when I was in High School. They're old and I was young, and probably could've been written with a better flow, so bear with me. I myself am currently enlisted in the Marine Corps.. more..
