A Poem by Donkey!

2004-08-27

Look around and tell me what you see, every boy and girl loving their happiness. Now take a quick look at me as I walk away in my loneliness. The beauty of love seems so far away. With signs of warning and caution, I reached for your love too soon as you looked away with cold felt passion. I see you in the hall, screaming out your name. I’ll never forget that look when you pierced my heart with your deathly stare, you never even smile in my nightmares, but what do I care, no one ever did. You don’t understand me, no one ever will. So keep pushing me around and I’ll fall further into the ground. Maybe I should realize this is right, let my guard down and lose this fight. Love will always win in its cruelty because it always leaves me in disparity. So look me in my eyes, tell me what you want from me. One day I’ll realize the truth that you’re all f****n’ liars and I’m better off alone... in this world I will always be alone.

About
My poems are from when I was in High School. They're old and I was young, and probably could've been written with a better flow, so bear with me. I myself am currently enlisted in the Marine Corps.. more..
