My heart can gladly smile,
For you have made life worthwhile.
A friend like you worth more than shining stone
For you touch deep down to my very bone.
A gem like you is hard to find
As you stand as one so rare and kind.
A friend indeed,
Giving me water in times of need.
And in hunger you'd feed.
I bless the day i called you friend,

You made me smile in times of pain,

Without true friends to walk with us as we walk by them, we would sink deep in the deepest wells of beggary, looking for a reward in the guileful mines of the ground; looking for false brilliance in the darkest corners and the lowest ranks.

You say friendship is a rare gem, you speak the truth. I wish all could these words see and understand. Because to find the real and genuine one requires a great effort, work and time. Sometimes it comes from where it is least expected and in the nearest time that one could hope for. Then that person must repeat these words to himself more often, and never take this important knowledge out of his mind, because a rare gem, once lost, could possibly never be retrieved again.
