Tomorrow

I tell myself,

move on ,

forget him.

every memory

can go to hell.

forget him

like he forgot you.

Till when but?

my heart says everytime,

only today, I will forget him tomorrow.

A great telling of the inner conflict that stirs when one is required to let go of toxic memories but emotional attachments prove too strong to jettison the poison - and thus daily, the cycle continues.
The angst is palpable in this short poem.
