The Beauty of the Sky

The Beauty of the Sky

A Poem by Donae Flower

It stretches from horizon to horizon,
Is said to have galaxy of stars, clouds, the sun and moon,
On occasion other things occupy this,
With wings perfectly designed for flight
Perfectly, though they have to leave the beauty,
For the supposed safety of the ground,
The tricks it plays,
Stars - hundreds of miles far,
Yet look so close,
Even within reach.
But that is the illusion of the beauty,
Of the sky.
