After a NapA Poem by Don Schaeffermaybe a final dreamAfter a Nap I never noticed that before: notes written in the vent above my head, official, looking like a warning, or some subtle instruction in that neat, factory laminate font. Very hard to see. Can't get close, I am covered in dust. I never noticed that before, a small door in the wall. It can't be there is nothing behind that wall. Why! It's opening. I didn't know about this before between the realities of the house I squeeze through the dark I should have stayed in bed. The door closes and lights go on. Nobody told me about this, but I did dream it. Only now do I wonder where my pillow is.
