Silent Tears

Silent Tears

A Poem by Dominique Lambright
"

No one knows the pain you are feeling but hoping that someone or something out there can relate

"

As the sun sets
And the moon rises
I stare out at the sky
Watching the pale oranges
And the vibrant reds mix
Seeing it all fade to black
What was the sun rays kissing my face
Turn to darkness's embrace
The stars staring down at me
Taunting me to make a wish
Only thinking of one, I take the bait
It's like the sun yearning for the moon
Always in the same place
But never on the same page
They meet for only a brief moment
To greet and retreat
Alone on this hill
Knowing the outcome
But hoping still they get their happy end
I can't help but shed that one tear
And once more I watch them
Share their moment
As the sun rises
And the moon sets
