Those Who Wander

Those Who Wander

A Poem by Dominique Lambright
"

Wandering emotions

"
What's one without a heart
Just a lifeless soul wandering
Trying to find the one who fits it perfectly
When you do, hold on tight
Having to lose it would only revert you
Back to that lifeless corpse you once hated so
Gasping for air
Suffocating from the loneliness
Only wishing to end it all
Then you think
How can I turn this around?
What can I do to survive this?
Do I truly want to be victim to this love?
This unescapable feeling
Maybe I shouldn't care
I can be successful without anyone by my side
Then again what's success without sharing
Someone to help you through the downs
And celebrate the victories
To find and create something bigger with
In the end, what do you know
Your that wandering lifeless corpse
Just looking for that piece that fits
Without, you remain that wandering soul
