You Always Matter To Me

Always there for you no matter what

She holds him down with a ton on her shoulders

Lifts him up regardless of the boulders

Feminine and strong, right and wrong, patient

In her eyes ride or die not just a statement

 

So much more than that

She’ll get behind the wheel

She’ll hold the pistol

He knows when situations should come up

She’s right there in the holster

Always by his side

 

He is who he is

Sometimes he says and does hurtful things

She pays them no mind though

Knowing where his heart lye

He only yells because he cares

He’ll always be there by her side

 

She’s his second set of eyes

The reflection he sees

The piece he’s missing

She whose got his back

Should he go to war

She’s his other gun

Holding him down

That’s what she’s there for

 

She puts him first

Even when he has his moments

She knows him too well

He can’t front cause she always sees the truth

She sees the cracks in him, he’s not perfect

She comforts and holds him when the world is troubling

As long as she with him, she’ll never need for nothing

 

He runs into dimes all the time

They make it so easy

It gets hard sometimes to do right

But he does for her, she doesn’t deserve the pain

The image he used to portray is different now

She’s the one who sees

He can be himself with her, he doesn’t have to pretend

 

She’s always ready for anything

She’s got him fully covered

Wouldn’t ever leave his team

Her custom grip, the perfect fit for him

Her and him, them against the world

When it comes down to it

They hard to beat

this is a "stand by your man" be his anchor, give him roots to cling to and keep him grounded and love and support him in spite of any faults. any man would indeed be blessed to have a woman who cares this much. perfection is not perfection, but what is in the eye and heart of the beholder....you have spoken loudly with this resonant piece of writing. finding value in what you hold dear is all that matters.
