Perfection

Perfection

A Poem by Dominique Lambright
"

How there is no definition to what is perfect

"

Perfection

Perfection

What is it?

There’s no set definition

All it is, is ammunition

The words people use only abuse

No one really knows what it means

So it gets misused

People’s egos get bruised

Manipulating the weak

Those who feel they need to tweak

The little things that seem to make them different from the rest

Little do you know you’re being put to the test

What is misunderstood

Is the reason you don’t have what the next person does

Beauty can bring you happiness

But what kind of happiness is it that you want?

Accepted for the outer beauty is the definition of materialistic

And I am about to be realistic

No one is what you perceive as the perfect person

No one will ever be

It’s fairytalistic

That acceptance is not what you want

Everyone is seen differently

Everyone has a purpose that needs to be fulfilled eventually

You want people to find out what you can do and who you can be

On your own terms, not anyone else’s
