Giving Your All

 

I was once told if you put your all into something you will succeed

But what if you do and all there are, are no outcomes or proceeds

I try and try to figure out why things are backwards

Trying for something and nothing happens, but when you sit around you move forward

All my life I have tried so hard

And I am always feeling like I need to guard

If I don’t I let myself fail and be taken for granted

But have I already been implanted

With the idea that things are true and there is no returning

To the prior thoughts churning

Then again the feeling of a wall is needed

Only because I have pleaded

With myself to not get hurt again with signs being unheeded

Being the last one to figure that my limit has been exceeded

I was once told if you put your all into something you will succeed

And I’ve figured out the hard way that that isn’t the truth agreed

There’s always something guaranteed

But with me I guess I always misread
