Cold NightA Poem by Dominique LambrightA sad night that didn't go as planned and a relationship on the edgeCold
Night
We
made a plan Plan
failed Failed
to the point where I had no where Where
to sleep was the question existing Existing
did not matter Matter
of factly you did not bother Bother
to see if I found a place Placing
my faith in you You
broke me for the last time Time
being wasted because of stupidity Stupidity
the reason for my fault Fault
in thinking it would go right Right
being the wrong word for the situation Situation
being blown out of proportion Proportions
too big for me to handle without being scared Scared
of getting in trouble Trouble
to the point of no return Returning
home withheld consequences Consequences
I did not want to face Face
to face with the truth Truth
is, I don’t know anymore Anymore
of this and I will explode Explode
or implode, whichever comes first First
come first serve is what I always say Saying
too much or too little Little
too late to say anything Anything
dealing with the truth of this poem Poem
being the truth if you can decipher it… © 2013 Dominique LambrightAuthor's Note
