Il suo sguardo (translation below)A Poem by 外人 (Gaijin)That's the very first poem of my adolescence, been forced to write it for a contest (check out note for reviewers) by my italian teacher, that's when i found out i love poetry and i wanted to write it
Translation (check note for reviewers) Title: Her look Her look; it's sweet and mysterious, shy and enterprising, her look; it makes my heart beat very fast, her look; it calls me, attracts me, kidnaps me. She's an always new deja-vu that drives me crazy whenever i think of her, I know i don't have much chances but i'm not giving up. Whenever I look at her when she's looking at me, i shiver, like a singer while listening to his song at the radio. I try very hard to find a way to get closer to her, but when i'm close to her I'm so afraid that every muscle of my body ask me to run away, I don't know whether one day she'll be mine but i know for sure that i won't never forget her indecipherable, incomprehensible, mysterious look. Idiomatic sentences: Italian - Literal translation - real translation Andare nel pallone - Going inside the soccer ball - Be in a messed up situation (be driven crazy) Avere molte frecce nel mio arco - Having a lot of arrows in my bow - Having a lot of chances Getter™ la spugna - Drop the sponge - Give up Mi spremo le meningi - I press my meninges - Think very hard (try very hard to) Tagliare la corda - Cut the rope - Run away
