Ciumes (translation below)

Ciumes (translation below)

A Poem by 外人 (Gaijin)
"

Hope you like it :)

"
Ciumes, flecha penetrante
Que rasga a superficie da alma
Num interior choro infantil.

Grito manhoso do eterno inseguro
Que deseja com fogo ardente
O que jamais lhe pertenceu.

Assim sinto-me,
No mais profundo de mim,
Ameacado, assustado, magoado

Pelos olhares, pelas convercas
Que dela, ele roubou-me,
Pelas suas atencoes que nao a mim
Foram dedicadas.

TRANSLATION
Title: Jealousy

Jealousy, penetrating arrow
That tears up the surface of the soul
In an interior childish weeping.

Illogic* cry of the eternal insecure
Who desires with fervent fire
What never belonged to him.

That way I feel,
In the deepest part of me,
Threatened, afraid, hurt

By the looks, by the chats
That from her, he stole me,
By her attentions that never to me
Were dedicated.

*Manhoso is simply one of those tricky words I can't translate from Portuguese to any other language, Illogical is by no way a fair translation is just the best I could think of.

Author's Note

外人 (Gaijin)
Written several poems I still haven't had the chance to post, still this one was so heart-felt that I decided it couldn't wait. It was inspired by the jealousy I felt two days ago when I saw a friend talking to the girl I'm in love with.
