Quale rancore custodisci?
I tuoi occhi implorano un pianto Che l'orgoglio soffoca sul nascere. Cosa ti turba, angelo senz'ali E spegne la luce delle tue chiome E rattrista il cielo per empatia? Stringi la mano che ora ti tendo, Con tutte le mie forze ti sottrarro Al dirupo nel quale sprofondi. TRANSLATION What rancour do you guard? Your eyes beg for a crying Your pride smothers immediately. What bothers you, wingless angel And switch off your hair* And make the sky sad for empathy? Hold the hand that I'm offering you, With all my might I'll set you free From the cliff* where you're falling. *= She had blond hair but it looked so "switched off" *= The cliff obviously stands for whatever is bothering her.
