L'amour (translation below)

L'amour (translation below)

A Poem by 外人 (Gaijin)

Qu'est-ce qu'il se passe avec l'amour?
il ne dure plus qu'un jour,
on rit, on pleure, on se fache,
en un instant on se detache.
Comment a l'amour on a pu croire?
Le coeur plus beau devient noir,
en vivant ce sentiment
on souffre toujours, quel tourment !
L'amour devient haine, les bisous s'oublient,
ensuite on ne vit que l'ennui.

TRANSLATION

What happens with love?
It doesn't last more than a day,
we laugh, we cry, we get angry,
in a moment we split up.
How could we believe in love?
The most beautiful heart becomes dark,
living this feeling
we always suffer, what an agony !
Love becomes hatred, kisses are forgotten,
then we only live tedium.

It always looks more elegant in French for some reason. A bittersweet tale, no matter the language. Nicely pen'd Le Parisian.

Love are good days and bad days. Better to remember the good days and forget the bad ones. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
