Chorar (translation below)

Just something I came up with ... at school.

Ah, quanto quero chorar,

lavar com lagrimas tanto sofrimento,

pois è, quero chorar,

entregar os meus medos ao esquecimento.

Soluçao salina que conforta os virgens rostos

dos primeiros amores, que faz companhia

a solidao da saudade, que acalma meus pesadelos

de um futuro sem paz, sem alegria.

O que daria pra chorar,

largar este orgulho de homem,

a esta vergonha purificadora me abandonar,

a cada lagrima, um problema que some.

Uma nova pessoa sinto-me,

apos o choro, calma encontrei.

TRANSLATION

Title: Crying

Oh, I want to cry so much,

to wash with tears all this pain,

yes indeed, I want to cry,

leave my fears in oblivious.

Saline solution that console the virgin faces

of first love stories, that keep company

against the loniless of homesickness, that calm my nightmares

about a future without peace, without hapiness.

I want to cry so much,

forget about this man's pride,

and join this refreshing shame,

in every tear, a problem solved.

I feel like a new person,

after the crying, I found peace.

Translation sucks, it was not so easy to translate because of some syntagms that were not possible to keep the same way in English

Translation is very hard. I had to translate a play from German into English and it really was a hard job. I can`t judge if the translation is O.K, but the English poem is really good, I like the way it is based on inner reflection, on thoughts about emotions - very good work.
