Saboreio comidas que me enchem,
porem nao me nutrem. Bebo agua que enche meu corpo, porem nao tira minha sede. Escuto musica que enche os meus silencios, porem nao liberta-me do tedio. Aprendo noçoes que enchem minha cabeça, porem nao levantam minha curiosidade. Partecipo a atividades que enchem meu tempo, porem nao divirtam-me de alguma forma. Rodeio-me por pessoas que enchem minha vista, porem nao dao um senso à minha vida. Vivo, sim, uma vida bem cheia, porem nao tao desfrutada. TRANSLATION Title: Full I taste food that fills me, though they don't feed me. I drink water that fills my body, though it doesn't quench my thirst. I listen to music that fills my silence, though it doesn't free me from getting bored. I learn facts that fill my head, though they don't raise my curiousity. I join activities that fill my time, though they don't entertain me at all. I'm surrounded by people that fill my sight, though they don't give a sense to my life. I do live a full life, indeed; though not so fulfilled. PS: I'm not sure about the quality of translation since I don't know if the verb "fill" is equally accepted in English to express these sentences, the reason why I did not choose to use another verb is that "fill" is exactly the key word of the whole poem. © 2013 外人 (Gaijin)Author's Note
