Unknown language

Unknown language

A Poem by 外人 (Gaijin)
"

Hope you like it ;)

"
I wish there was a language that only I knew,
an eloquent language, so elegant, so new !
A communication code spoken by none,
in which all my secrets could with time be gone.

My deepest secrets to my friend Paper I'd tell,
and no living being to read them would dare,
I would feel free,
to finally be me.

Away from society's judgement,
my thoughts would flow,
no one to stop'em, no one would know,
and my mute message I'd write for my enjoyment.

I have so many secrets no one deserves to know,
I'll tell'em to my paper in a language only we know.

Author's Note

外人 (Gaijin)
The goal of speaking foreign language is to be able to communicate with more people, when I was young one of the reasons why I loved languages was the exact opposite, the possibility to not being understood, whenever I wanted to write something confidential I used to write it in English (no one would understand it, I knew), now everyone speaks English so I can't, and growing up I found out no matter what language you learn, there will always be someone who understand it (that's the goal of learning it!!). The fact I've written this poem in English is both ironic and nostalgic, nostalgic because it brings me back to the days I used to write confidential messages in English and Ironic because in WC, English is the most common and understood language, so it definitely doesn't fit the message of the poem xD
The repetitions of "know" and "secrets" are not lack of imagination, I did it on purpose (they literally resumes the essence of the whole poem).

You mean to say that you are not satisfied with elegant european languages and english? I mean we never stop learning when it comes to language, even our own mother tongue, no matter what liguistic stage we happen to be a, keep writing and all the best.

that's a great idea. i never thought of that. it would be nice to have your own language all to your own, to keep your secrets even on paper. being the polyglot that you are, i'm sure you can make up your own language...remember esperanto?

Some secrets need to be kept buries. I get amazed when people open up cans of trouble with death near and bring back things needed to be forgotten. A new language. Many have been create. Always a possibility for a new one. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
