Wanderlust

Wanderlust

A Poem by Dominic
"

Those who wander without purpose, have no purpose to wander.

"
Desire.
For something new,
For something different.
The wanderer is the vagrant
the lazy, the unmotivated.
They're takers,
A piece of each place becomes them.
But what is given back?
What is contributed?
Because you must contribute,
You must fulfill your role.
You'll be told it's time,
That you must come back
Join the others,
Live their life.
Head forward, blinders on
Seep into what is known,
What has been done.
You're living it wrong,
this isn't about fun.
And you come back,
You do as your told,
But the desire remains
in the young and the old.
they force it down further,
they'll get to it tomorrow.
Find it in Movies, TV's, and books.
The vagrant can live,
for those who are voyeurs
Grab from them,
what you have not done
It's not my time yet
they say, I can wait longer.
Those who wander without purpose, have purpose to wander.
