Through My Tear-Filled Eyes

Through My Tear-Filled Eyes

A Poem by Dominic

Your tears fall soft and silent as the drifting snow,

Mine are close to follow.

Your heart breaks from pain and loss,

But mine is just as hollow.

You think I have moved on, forgotten,

But trust me, that’s not true.

You think about me every day,

Just as I think of you.

Events of the past left holes in your heart,

You think I am to blame.

You don’t understand I’m hurting too,

Our pain is just the same.

I've never stopped loving you,

Through all the hurt and lies,

I wish you could see all of this,

Through my tear-filled eyes.

Thank you guys for your continual support of my writing! I was hoping if I could ask you to extend some of that support to my friend Let The Mind Be Free. Her writing is really amazing, but she isn't getting the recognition she deserves. Thanks!

That has got to be the most unbiased, two-sides-of-the-coin, poem I have ever read about love and love's loss. There are no winners and no one is entirely solely to blame. I just hope for the persons involved that have inspired this poem, for them to find their way back into what should have been a perfect love. Maybe it still will be.

wow this was a very sad, yet honest and a beautifully written piece. This sounds like something you'd say in an actual conversation with an ex, filled with hurt adn heart break...wonderful
God bless

Dear Dominic,

A wonderful poem. It was nearly lost in the hard to read script, however. Poetry is about the words, not about the device of the script. Please don't hind behind these devices. It takes so much away and puts such a demand on the reader to look aside and through this hard to read text. If possible, the details of the script and font should completely disappear. Drawing attention to them is exactly the antithesis of what you should be doing. It distracts from your message and the art of your words.

Now to your write. Your words are wonderful. Please make your next write easier to read. Your readers will eventually give up, and that would be a shame.

Best regards,

Rick

This poem has a really nice flow and finality to it while still holding the air of mystery and all. Stunning. The message of depth and despair, regret and remorse. Believe it or not, it is hard to find someone who can actually express something like that. Nicely and poetically penned! Best regards, Dell
