They want me back

They want me back

A Poem by DOMI'

They want me back

They want me back,

They want me back home.

I don’t want to go,

I really don’t want to go.

Those voices again,

Please no,

Please let me stay.

Those words again,

Please no,

Please let me stay.

Those faces again,

Please no,

Please let me stay.

Those laughs again,

Please no,

Please let me die.

I want to die.

Yes, I want to die.

Don’t get me wrong.

I am not insane.

I am just a little flower from a burning land.

My eyes are screaming because my hope was killed.

My skin is bruised,

I can’t feel the pain because my body died.

I am crying.

Can you hear me crying?

I can’t sleep!

I never sleep!

How long it will last?

I have to face everyday the demons of my past.

How long it will last?

Nobody I trust.

Nobody I will ever trust again.

I want to die!

Yes! I want to die!

I will be an angel!

I will never be hurt again.

Forever.

Dramatic and grim - but I like it. The repetition is very effective and I love the bit about crying. Good job!
