In Hating Memory

I used to feel this way and I was stuck in this life!

A sombre picture of a life degrading.

A merciless vision of faith cascading.

Nothing comes, nothing goes.

No one cares, no one knows.

Of this corpse, no life remains

Even death is a losing campaign.

She was full, whole, a vibrant delight.

She fell from the stars and failed to take flight.

Wings failed her and faith not enough

She failed to rise to the serpents bluff.

Crippled by the agony of dreaming alone

She left her spirit to solemnly roam.

Detached from all things beautiful

She remained the hostess, dire but dutiful.

 

In the second act a monster erupts

A torturous evil corrupts.

Something disturbed, something awaking.

Someone demented, someone forsaken.

Of this corpse, a demon emerged.

Even in death never completely submerged.

She was bruised, beaten, a broken delight.

She lost her fists and the will to fight.

Love failed her and thrills too few

She settled for only the pain she knew.

tainted by the weight of the world

She became a bitter, fearless girl.

Detached from this mundane demise

She glared once again with the devil in her eyes.

 

The final act will be a shock to all

An ending she’ll forever recall.

Something epic, something grand

Someone rises, someone stands.

Of this corpse, nothing more dies,

Even in death she came to realise

That she is strength personified, a violent delight.

That her spirit could be reined back in from flight.

Something found her and brought her to life

His hand guides hers, she takes the knife.

Dancing to the tune of her own rebirth

She becomes the strongest force in all the earth.

Attached to the empowerment of her blinding light

They slaughter the serpent and together take flight.
