Hero

 

I watch him stand there so beautifully touched

He's singing a song about a hero but he doesn't know much

He doesn't know the hero he's singing about is him

And all the people are standing there taking in every moment they have their idol before them

As the song unfolds, they get captivated by what his voice holds

And before they know it their heart has no choice

It gives into his ways..

It gives into his beauty..

There is so much love..

 

Every second he creeps upon a broken heart and holds it tight

Within one song everything is right

They have gone from the dark to the light

It's hard to believe he can become more of a man

He's done so much and he doesn't understand

He is making a mark on this earth and he doesn't even know how much it's worth..

 

I watch him stand there getting choked up

It's hard to fight the tears when you've been through so much

He's giving in to his emotions and everything becomes so clear

He means much more to people beyond what he can see or hear

There the hero goes..

He's making his voice go high and higher

It's even more powerful than it began

Not one person can make the moment go in disguise

He is surrounded by all eyes

He is the hero in every heart that longs to see him standing there...
