MarvinA Poem by Annabelle Lee
Walking home from the gas station
Ice cream and rock star in hand When I come across this little dog Misshapen, sad, matted little man So I called up my family Asked could they come pick me up There was this little dog And he was looking pretty rough Mats and tangles snout to tail Left side of his snout deformed His tongue won't fit in his mouth He walks like he's all sore His eyes are clouded over Probably Cataracts Poor sad little dog man No one will want him back He only had one tooth Can't even defend himself I had to take him home Seaders are here to help Sierra came to pick us up Man he really loved the car We tried to feed and water him We didn't get very far Cut off most of his hair To rid him of the mats And noticed a few bugs So we gave him a couple baths I got him to eat this morning Bologna chopped up real thin since he has no teeth And I didn't want to choke him He's drinking water now and playing with the cats His tail's been wagging around all day Why wouldn't anyone want him back? Think he might be pom-chihuahua Kinda black and tan I'm calling him Marvin This sad little old man © 2013 Annabelle LeeFeatured Review
