My ragtag bunch of cheerleadersA Poem by Annabelle LeeAnother Back to school piece, don't shoot me
My ragtag bunch of cheerleaders, been buds since seventh grade
I was their leader, their captain, and boy, I just can't wait They'll be starting freshman year in about a week and a half Can't wait to have my crew, my girls, Can't wait to have them back That little redhead with jokes for days and a wit to match my own The tall athlete with a jackass boyfriend, but without her where would we go? The pencil thin supermodel type who pretends she doesn't know My best girlfriend, My second sister, She keeps my second home My real sister, Sierra Ann, I can't wait to show her the ropes I know she'll do just fine, she won't need me, or so she hopes. So happy to have them with me, I do have other friends But none are quite like these ones, Can't wait til summer ends
