SpotterA Poem by Annabelle Lee
"Hay girl, headin up to the weightroom, you in?"
"Be there in five!" "Can't wait" My spotter, my sister, the only other girl in the room Who can love what I love, and do what I do She pushes me to do my best On squat and clean, while I help her bench The goals the same, stakes are high We'll be working all year, it's gonna fly by Gotta win state. overall champs Time to take off the skirts and wear the big man pants I'm just glad I don't have to face it alone My spotter's like family That weightroom's my home
