A week in the life of Annabelle Lee

A week in the life of Annabelle Lee

A Poem by Annabelle Lee

I wake up on Monday
Wondering how much I'll run today
Then I take a shower and go to weights
Ignoring everyone else as they gape
Then I change and do to work
Before the muscles start to hurt
Head home and feed my dog
Maybe I'll go for a walk or a jog

I wake up on Tuesday
And think that I'll work sprints today
Then I take a shower and go to weights
I'm real sore, My body shakes
Then I change and go to work
I'm so tired and everything hurts
Get home and might go swim
Then for basketball I go to the gym

I wake up on Wednesday
Enjoying the hour of extra sleep today
Then I take off and run a bit
No work or weights or practices
Might hang with my friends or go to the pool
Walk around in a bikini and pretend I'm cool

I wake up on Thursday
I'd planned on working hills today
Then I take a shower and go to weights
The soreness is gone after I rest a day
Then go to work, the load's pretty small
Takes a few hours to get through it all
Might hang out with a few friends
Start making plans for my weekend

I wake up on Friday
Just a standard run today
I don't have work, I don't have weights
I may hit the weightroom anyway
I go home and shower and see what's up
Blowdry my hair and wear some makeup
May ride around in someones car or stay at their house
And make plans for the next day, you know how it is

I wake up on Saturday
And lay around in sweatpants half the day
Nothing to do, nowhere to be
Thousands of friends texting me
Might go to the theater and see a show
Then ride around town, nowhere to go

I wake up on Sunday
Realizing it's noon and I've slept the day away
Being fifteen keeps my schedule pretty jammed
I'm being sarcastic, time's all I have
But Sunday night I go to sleep
And I start another, fairly similar week

Wow! I'm fifteen and I wish I was as productive as you lol! This was a very simple poem yet the reader can see so much of your daily life.

"But Sunday night I go to sleep/ And I start another, fairly similar week"

Probably the most relatable line ever :D
