Snow in the middle of April

Snow in the middle of April

A Poem by Annabelle Lee

No school or track today
Because it snowed so close to May
Fluffy white stuff keeps falling down
I wish the sun would just come out
It's nearly swimsuit season and it's so freaking cold
The pool will be frozen, this weather is old!!!
Like that stalker ex I just can't shake
I just want the shivers to go away!

Ha! I grew up in Upstate New York so I can completely relate to this. We'd always get that one last spring blizzard. Nicely done.

Welcome. :)
I like how you threw in the stalker X at the end. That was like "BOING." Good one dog.

THanks, Ricochet
I can't allow a colder April or May like how I don't allow phony EXes ruin my day. Down here, the weather doesn't allow thicker clothes and swimsuit days are endless except for December when Jellyfishes envade the shore. I liked how you combined weather with your present situation. It's very sassy and edgy. I like the sudden turn at the end too. Good write:)

Ha love how you got your ex in there, yep, enough of this cold blitz I so agree, one day snow the next it's hot out. Whatever happened to spring weather, this one made me smile, it's so your style Annabelle, nicely pen'd!
