Turn Around

Turn Around

A Poem by Annabelle Lee

"There she goes"
Back downstairs again
She's pissed off about something
Annabelle uses her bedroom to hide
From her family and others so they don't see her bad side
They say I'm antisocial, I'm often in a bad mood
But I really want to punch them when they say that s**t
It's rude
Maybe I had a bad day, maybe I need to go pout
Maybe I'm PMSing I don't need you calling me out
I go down there to fume, sometimes, get over myself
Because I'd rather not put you unappreciative basterds through Hell
So if you're at my door, and you don't hear a sound.
It might be smart to turn around

I used to do this when I was your age. Now when I'm pissed off I clean like a crazy woman. Everything. Ceilings, floors, walls...everything. Sometimes I think My Brit picks a fight with me just because he wants me to do the dishes xD Well done, this.

I have to admit I can definitely relate. Sometimes all I need is that time to defuse and collect my thoughts and it doesn't help when it feels like your parents or even other people don't understand.

thank you
I wish I could say that to my parents. I just want to write and sleep. So I am in my room a lot. And they fuss at me for it.

thanks.
This is a great poem. thanks Annabelle. I should have read this before I got into my most recent fight. Maybe it wouldn't have happened, Ricochet had to apologize for his anger, again.

oh ricochet... what will we do with you?
never awaken a sleeping beast. it is a good policy to abide by. you have given, through your words, some sound advice. well written and insanely profound.
