Sierra

Sierra

A Poem by Annabelle Lee

Birthed from a different womb,
Love each other just the same
She's my big sister,
About to share my last name
I don't care what she does
I don't care how bad
I really love this girl
Sometimes she's all I have
Sierra is her name
I'll scream it from the roof
She's always been there for me
I wish I could be for her, too.
Try, try, try
Sometimes I'm not proud
But I support her,
That's allowed
Sis, I know this is rough
But girl,
You gotta try to be tough
You gotta keep your head up
Keep looking forward
Because right now, you can't see
What the world has in store.
There's much bigger things, gonna happen to you
So just hang in there
You'll see it's true.

Awwwh this is soo sweet and I love it. I love reading poems about people being so close to others, as if that was their family. I am the same way with all of my best friends. I see them more as family now more than anything in the world. I love them so much and never take them for granted. They're always there for me whenever I'm happy, sad, mad or just whatever emotions I'm going through. Some people don't have the opportunity to have someone to lean on. That's why I try to be a nice person to each person I come in contact with, because I never know what kind of life they live in. I hope Sierra reads this and sees how good a person and friend you truly are. I only have one sibling and that's Cara. She's 12 and an asbolute nutball. I'm grateful to have her even though she can be hateful at times. You make a great point on loving someone that wasn't even from the same parents. Great job, indeed Annabelle Lee. Your work keeps impressing me!

Cool. I like the simplicity of this--the eye goes along the text real easily, and yet you still get the message across. Nice

I hope Sierra gets to read this, she probably doesn't realize what a wise old soul you truly are. Nice one Annabelle.

She did. Thanks!
it's cool. you have to love a real sister, it's mandated. step sisters? they can force them on you, but it's pretty awesome when you can chose to love them. not because you have to, but because you can't help but not.
