Let me tell you something

I write, a lot. For all kinds of different reasons
But I DO NOT write for attention
I am NOT asking you to feel sorry for me
If you don't like my work, don't read it.
If you don't like my style, don't read it
Cuz I tell you what, I won't delete it.
Ten pages of work and still counting
While you sit over there pouting
You know what really pisses me off?
When keeping to myself, doing my stuff
And you get pissed cuz you can't keep up
You start bitchin and callin me stuff
Then I feel self conscious, like some kind of nerd.
And all it took were a few dumbass words
"I have no life, no friends, just time"
I bet you've never lived in a world like mine.
Where visiting your dad, every other weekend.
Meant more to you than any number of friends
I have a life, I have my friends
And my bestie is my bestie because she never pretends
So shut the f**k up and close the damn site
If you're sick of hearing about my fucked up life

People have a choice what to read and what to skip over. They do not have a say in what you decide to write about or share. Exercise your right to write about what you wish. You may lose readers along the way, but if they are not interested in what you have to say, what are you really losing? You can't please everyone, so worry first about pleasing yourself......the rest will follow suit.

I know that at your age it (because one time I was there)is all about friends, fitting in, and being accepted, but there will come a time that you realize that to be who and what others want is not a good thing, you have to be the kind of person you want to be, stand up for yourself, and be proud of yourself and what you stand for. YOU are the one who has to live with YOU in the end, make sure that you are someone you want to spend the rest of your life with.

a very good vent, don't worry about others rant they have some issues on themselves we don't know about...my advice ...write write write, we are here to share something a piece of our soul in our writes... we are here not to please everyone(i have learned that here in wc)... we are here to be us or to enjoyed our time reading and writing while in the site... i hope you had a good release on this write and feel much better...

Wow, this is really sad that you have to go through this Annabelle Lee. I do love this website and I have been on it for one year and some months. It's good to post work and make some friends too! Since we do live in a cruel world, there are those people that will bring you down even when they know you're going through some rough patches. I know it's hard to ignore them when they keep throwing their negative thoughts at you, but then again it's really simple. The people on here, just like you and me, are behind a computer screen. Like you said, they don't know what kind of life you have. They don't personally know you period, so they don't have any room to judge you or say rude comments. I think it's stupid to talk about someone and their life. Writerscafe is a writing website to post work, even if it's personal. You have all rights to do so. I write a lot too, and I have one reason. God destined that for me to be my talent and I love to write! Maybe that counts for two? :) Haha. I know what you mean. I had one girl saying I was an attention seeker person by something I had posted. Actually, I am far from wanting attention. I see her everyday and how hard she tries to fit in and get attention. I can't stand her either. I do like your work, style, and what you write all about. With the people that don't, that's their loss! Right? :D

This is how I feel a lot of times. No matter what though I remember what my granny used to say "Sweetie, keep your chin up, brain on, eyes open, mouth smiling, and your head on your shoulders. Then you will make it through life." Gotta love her and miss her. Keep writting no matter what. I LIKE READING IT!!

You're very welcome, Anna. :) Things in life are hard for a lot of people to understand, but no one is forced to read your work. What you say is your own, and you should own it. :) If they don't like it, then they can just go to another writer, and read something else. Or just not log onto this site. :)
