School dance gone wrong

School dance gone wrong

A Poem by Annabelle Lee

Denim clad bodies pulsing in the middle of the floor
Sweat mixing with perfume and hair spray
The music is booming
The girls shreik the words

Like we're gonna die young

The boy in the corner
Watching the fun
First he sips
Then pulls his gun
And before I get the chance to see
He points, and pulls, and shoots me
