true story, I was texting my step sister and my phone turned on me!

Is it wrong for me to still get excited, when I see his name in my inbox

Is it wrong for me to hope, to want?

I know I was the one who broke it off, I know I'm the one who ended our thing

I was just kind of hoping he might fight for me

But he was so chill, like he could care less

And now we aren't even friends

I meant it, everytime I said those three words

And realizing you might not have

I'll let you in on a little known secret. Guys do the "stoic" thing. Especially when they are hurt. They put on the brave face: the macho, I don't give a s**t about anything, water off a duck's back look. But they feel and hurt every bit as much as we do. If you try to test his love and devotion and see if he will fight to win you back, you will be sorely disappointed. and alone. and hurting. Sometimes in life we need to focus on how we hurt "others" and not so much on how we are feeling.
