Nerves

Nerves

A Poem by Annabelle Lee
"

big playoff game.... everyone was a bit rigid

"
Taped ankles
Pads on
Breath heavy
Nerves rattle
Coach paces
Players hop
Shudder
Bob
Fidget
The wait
Is always
The worst part
FCA
David and Goliath
Our quarterback
We can tell when he's nervous
It's not hard to tell that
The team's wired
Tight
Playoffs
One win
One step
Closer
To the big dance
One loss
That's the end of it
We know
Someone has to lose
And someone's coming out on top
Training all season
To get to this point
Confidence
Falling
Nerves
Rising
Even I
The manager
Hate the wait
And just when we think we can't take enough
It's time to go light a mother lover
up

I hate sports. But I think the poem is pretty cool. Especially the first part. Nice job.
