My Own PaceA Poem by Annabelle Lee
Tell me I can't do it
Tell me it's too far I'm about one hundred meters from the finish Didn't you say it was supposed to be hard? Yeah, my hip's been an awful bother Yeah, my knee might eat it Yeah, my ankle's a bit quirky But you don't honestly expect me to quit Two and a half miles.... I'll run that in my sleep And be faster than you, and you Don't underestimate me No, I don't want a doctor, Don't pull me out of the race No matter what you tell me I move at my own pace
