Life Is Not FairA Poem by Annabelle Lee
A boy in our county passed away last night
I didn't know him, but I still cried What force was compelled to take the life of a guy Who was less than a whole year younger than I? He was thirteen, just into the eighth grade Riding around with his dad after a quiet Saturday Something happened to the car, and the boy went Out the window, across the pavement They responded to the call But they can't do it all It was too late And the boy met his fate That could have been me, or one of my siblings It could have been my friends, or anybody Let his story remind all of you people out there That you are not in control, and life is not fair
