Some Words For Some People

Some Words For Some People

A Story by Annabelle Lee

You can close your eyes
Act like it's not happening
Tell me lies
But it will never be fixed

Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to mourn the death of our country's innocence.

Look out the window
Nothing is ok
If you just leave it alone
It won't go away

Too long has my kind sat back and watched, disgusted. As pigs and selfish monsters ruined it for the rest of us.

Pretend there's no such thing as rape
Act like we're not controlled by hate
Say the dollar won't control us
Be completely, utterly heartless

Well I am done with having to just sit back and watch the scum of our country take advantage of us. And there is really NO reason for this. This is America! We are better than this.
I have faith in all I say
Step forward if you also feel this way

There's a book called "From Dictatorship to Democracy" Written by a man Named Gene Sharp. A film was made about him in 2011 called "How To Start A Revolution." that explains how the book has worked and how effective his Non violent methods have been when pitted against dictatorships in Eastern Europe, the middle east, Africa etc. The protesters who shut down the WTO sumit in seattle Washington in 1999 (Battle in Seattle) used Jene Sharp's methods as well. You can see bits of the film on youtube. I was fortunate enough to see it in the cinima in 2011 and having the warrior's instinct that I have I was ready to start a revolution of my own walking out of the cinema, but I had to go to work (Excuses excuses) Another good film to see to get your revolutionary juices flowing is "Battle in Seattle." as above mentioned. I love revolutonary ideas. I fought in a really violent one in Iraq and I gotta tell ya, non violent has got to be a better way. VIolence feeds on itself in a way most people don't know about untill they see it happening right in front of them. That's why it's easy to start a war and next to impossible to stop one.

I can only say that lies never ends... even hate and selfishness are part of human nature... its really hard to shape up human nature... but its possible.... because its changeable... Our foot step is just one or two out of millions out there...
