The Lone Wolf Awaits Part 2A Poem by DogDrawler
He listens... He is dying.
The wolf who searched for love. But didn't find it. He slips into darkness. Farther... and farther... The snow flakes move east. A front from British Columbia batters him Hypothermia makes him shut his eyes He loved his journey and that's all that matters But then as he slips a wolf appears It's a female, also a lone wolf She sees his soon-to-be lifeless body She reads his soul "This wolf has died searching for love but he didn't so he loved his journey instead" She felt bad about him She licked him on the cheek and told his soul: "I wish I have came sooner. But remember I'll always love you." Just before his final breath, he smiled
