It's okay

It's okay

A Poem by Destiny
"

The unconditional love of a child

"

You said something remarkable
After I had to confide
And tell you I was irritable

You said, "okay that's fine"
"Can I stay the night here?"
As if you didn't mind

For clarification I advised,
"Are you sure? When I'm like this?"
The reason I couldn't find

"Yes, mom"
"Now come sit down"

With my arms wrapped around you
My anger melts away
And I also want you to stay

Mother love is a powerful force. It forgives that which others can't.

So I have been adopted for 7 whole years and 4 months and on June the 2nd was when I was adopted and my family calls it "family day" but I was 8 when I was adopted and they fostered me when I was 5 and they fought through hell and back for 3 years just to get me adopted and on my first day I came to live with them when I was still in foster care I was scared and my mom laid in my bed with me and I was a Mama's girl since then so my mom and dad has loved me and my little sister ever since and I appreciate them for adopting us.

By the way I love your poem I cried when I read it
