Wall

Wall

A Poem by Destiny
"

Becoming jaded

"
The longing for those whose lips held poison
Persists
They were not malicious
I think life is though
I ask, "how much more can I take?"
And I persist
Not without a new brick
Added to to the walls I said
I would never build
Still I persist
Even when the wall
Is touched by gentle hands
A soft voice
Kind eyes
It persists
