La Luna

La Luna

A Poem by Destiny
"

Daughters of the moon

"

The moon had just dipped over the horizon
When I took my first breath
But the pull was never weakened no matter how many
Days she lit the other half of the earth I walked

She illuminated my iris' in the car rides home
And woke me in the night when she heard my teeth grinding from the nightmares
She lulled me to sleep when there was no lover beside me
She called my womb her home
My blood resembles her during the eclipse
And with each passing night my skin bares her likeness

I am her daughter and so is mine
