Lark's Lullaby

Lark's Lullaby

A Story by Destiny
"

A lullaby written for my daughter

"

Heaviness sits in your eyes
And you need me to comfort your cries
But you need to rest
As the moon grows high in the sky
After the sun, sets in the west
You lay your head on my chest
You'll always hear the same beat in your ear
Of the heart that whispered, "my dear"
Even before you were here
...And we speak a little softer...
I hope that you dream
Of how lovely we seem
Sitting under the moon
...It is time to sleep...
Though I am used to the feet
That bring you to me
At half past 3
We will surely meet soon
I hope that your dreams
Take you out to sea
In an ocean of stars
Where you can just be

Just like you are in my arms

My sleep is not asleep, rarely is. Yours seems to come and go, as if a gift held a little out of reach.
Your words have a far different sound for most, especially the following, Destiny,

' I hope that your dreams
Take you out to sea
In an ocean of stars
Where you can just be

Just like you are in my arms'

Gentle, beautiful.
