Far from 1955

Far from 1955

A Poem by Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot

From Judge Doom to Doc Brown, he changed our lives
Going forward in time in style
And trying to kill Eddie Valiant was fun for awhile
Away in the sunset his Time traveling train drives

Turning into a Teen-Wolf was not his best
But being the little mouse made all children laugh and cry
Now he shivers and shakes, putting a tear in my eye
But being on Family Ties was his great quest

These men, you may not know
If you do, your childhood was great
Watching their movies with the family just to stay up late
These two actors you see, showed me to always look for a bright tomorrow.

Of course, Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox, also two of my favorite actors and one of my favorite series of movies. They did lift my spirits and deserve a poetic tribute. I guess you must have taken Margo's advice, which was good. Otherwise this is very nice.

Yeah, I've never `seen` of one of the people you mentioned before (doc). I personnally did not connect with this writing. As you can see in my writing I express differently. In my opinion I think you should continue expressing your in depth emotions. Sadness/pain/happiness. Things of that nature. Express your deepest desires and heartache. I think that's the most beautiful a person can be. It shows they are human.

It was my pleasure. :-)
Unfortunatley, I live in a box and am unfamiliar with these actors....but I can tell by reading this piece that you certainly enjoyed them.

I have a few contructive critisisms for you. First one is a mere typo in the last stanza of your second line. The second 'you' should be 'your.' I'm also not sure about the know and tomorrow ryhme..tomorrow doesn't have two m's. Haha! :) I just don't know about the flow of the last stanza. Give it some thought!! Read and re-read!! Write and re-write!! And if you get stuck, take a break! I once took a 3 year break from one of my works!!!! If you ask me, a piece of writing is never done!
