"

A simple poem of loss...

"

 Broken Strings
           Broken Springs
                      Lying shattered on the floor
                                  Scattered in the empty room
                    To be played with nevermore

Author's Note

CT
This is just a really, really short spur of the moment thing that my pen just spit out of it's own accord. The Raven influences are evident, and it's brief enough to be interpreted many different ways. Did the child grow up? Did they die? Up to your own imagination and interpretation.

I think the last line fits the poem nicely. I really like this. It makes you wonder about the toys' pasts. I love this!

Like this. Interesting concept, like the rhythm. Last line does not fit the rhythm or cadence of the rest of the poem.
