RW: Chapter Three

Rat Sek came closer to me. I tried to move back, but trippedon a restraining rat and fell. Rat Sek caught up with me. "Darn it." I whispered to myself. The Ratster looked at me with fury in his tiny rat eyes.

 

"They are under our control. The whole entire Human species is under Ratsters control. We are the rulers of Planet Earth!" Ratster Sek said with a growl. "And, you, Eleanora Jones, You are going to be taken into Ratster Authority's custody. You will be taught the ways of the Rats, and will forget your humanity. You will esentially become Ratlike." Creepy, don't you think? Yeah, definetly creepy.

 

"Oh," I said, trying to take this in reasonably. "Is that so?" I smartly asked the "Ratster."

 

"Yes. Unfortunately, you are the only exception. You are a threat to the Ratkind. We'll have to erase your memories. You will become a slave."

 

"Oh, yeah?" Smart, I know. Fighting with a rat is always smart. "How so? You don't think that I'm going to fight back?"

 

"Oh, yes, you'll fight back. But we have enough Rat Power to contain the human race. We'll be able to control you, Eleanora. And the best part is that you'll willingly work for us. The Ratfamous Eleanora Jones- Slave of the Rats!" Ratster Sek squeeked loudly.

 

His cronies chanted "Slave of the Rats, Slave of the Rats!" While thety chanted, I tried to get away, again. Unsuccessfully, though. I tripped on another one of those pesky restraining rats.

 

"You dare try to run away?" Sek asked me loudly. He repeated it. "You dare run away from your rastiny?  Why run from your rastiny? Istn't it great enough?"

 

"Rastiny?" I asked. "Rastiny? Who says Rastiny? What the heck is it anyways?"

 

"As you would say, Destiny. The only difference is that Rastiny is for Rats. Destiny is for apes." Sek replied.

 

"Apes? Who the hell are you calling an ape? Yourselves? You're the ones who are tiny. We're going to overrun the rat empire. We're going to rule the rats." I couldn't help saying. Fighting back is in my blood. At least I think it is.

 

"You're an ape. And all those police humans are also under our control," Rat  Sek said. "You have no one who will stand with you. We are supior to Humans in every aspect of Earth.You are weak."

The other rats seemed to agree. "We are supreme. Humans are weak," they repeated over and over like slaves or maybe they're on mind control as well. 

"Sure... But you're fogetting one thing. We're taller, bigger, smarter than you all. Surely you don't think that we haven't noticed you. I've known something was going on around here, I knew about the Rat's plan. Surely you didn't go thinking that you are the only ones with power." I was pulling their tails, telling complete lies. But did they know this, probably not. They couldn't have known, could they? "Yes, there's a group that call themselves the-" I tried to think up a group name, but couldn't. I was greatful when I was interrupted by a rat by the controls.

"There are no such things as groups trying to eradicate rats. There are groups trying to eradicate you. Only, Humankind is to dumb, to thick to see that they are here. Aliens, as what you may call them, are coming to kill you all. We were simply trying to protect you." Oh really? Aliens? As if. Then again, a week ago, if you told me that rats could talk, I would've laughed in your face. Maybe aliens did exist. If so, why are they keeping themselves so secret?

"Aliens?" I asked, "You've got to be barking mad. Aliens don't exist." 

Rat Sek stepped forward, "Of course they exist, you big dulp. You thought you were the only ones in the universe? Besides, we are much more smarter than you realize. You, ape, will be given our schooling, our ideals, our work. You will be as smart as a Rat!"

 

"Sorry, I don't want to be as smart as a rat. I want to be as smart as I am. I'm happy with my smartness. I'm smart enough to know that this may well be a trap, and I don't like traps. I like freedom, not ratdom. Therefore, rats, I ask you to answer me this: What would happen if I say no?"

 

Rat Sek snarled. "Then you will die. However, you show courage and ape wisdom. You will eventually be killed. Meanwhile, we'll try to teach you," I scoffed, he waited for me to stop, then continued, "What we can, while you're in the cell. Take that ape to the dungeons and seal her off!" Rats scattered and completed his order. I was taken to a musty smelling dark cellar. There, I was surprised to see that there were other men and women in the cells. They got up as we passed and shook violently trying to get out towards freedom. Many of them forgot English, and spoke Rattish. I was then thrown inside the jail cell of another girl.
