TABITHA AND THE HURRICANE

 

 

 

 

Tabitha was walking down the road, chasing squirrels and mice around, happily trotting

through houses and yards. One house she walked through was old, empty and very

 

 

musty. She didn’t like the smell anymore, so she walked out through the tiny hole in the

bare green wall. It had been raining really hard the last couple of days, and little

 

 

Tabitha was getting quite scared. Her parents left her in the house because they weren’t

aloud to bring pets with them. Her mother was tearful when leaving Tabitha alone in the house.  Soon after they left, the rain started to pick up, dropping heavier and

 

 

heavier rain on the roof. Soon the porches of the houses around them began to flood, then

Tabitha’s porch began to flood. Then the house itself began to flood. Tabitha was

frightened. Nowhere to go, she just ran away, but the rain kept on falling. The

                                

 

floods kept on following her.              This great big spiral of wind sucked up many trees

 

 

and cars. Now Tabitha was really scared.                  The clouds over Tabitha’s head were

 

 

darkening and greener than before. Tabitha trotted over to an abandoned shed and

 

 

shivered as she waited for the storm to pass over. Over time, Tabitha grew tired, and slept

 

the remainder of the storm away. Then a great big noise with a large Bang! woke Tabitha

up. She trotted outside, scared to find out what made that noise. A large tree had

 

 

fallen  beside the shed. She sniffed, then ran away, looking for a new place to sleep
