Ruby: The Poetic Life of a Faithful Pup

Ruby: The Poetic Life of a Faithful Pup

A Chapter by Some Random Person.

I ran across the floor,

To get my master at the door,

Wait for her, I shall not go.

Me, the faithful dog, going to get her,

My mistress has not shown.

A car with lights has come.

Where is she? My mind kept asking.

It was later than time can tell.

Darker than black can be.

Still she never came.

I wondered maybe she was on a trip.

Not like her though,

To leave me alone,

By myself without one person coming.

She’s on a trip, I kept saying.

I’m a dog, I’m supposed to worry.

She’s my Mistress, I’m her dog.

She’s on a trip! She’s on a trip!

Cars with lights show, I need her now!

People come into the house,

I bark because Elizabeth, my mistress is on a trip.

They say she’s died, but that’s impossible.

She’s on a trip, she’s on a trip!
