I Get Up

I Get Up

A Poem by Dave "Doc" Rogers
"

Re-posted. Written while feeling 'stuck in a rut.' Irritatingly close to the truth sometimes. :)

"

I Get Up

I get up
I go to work
I go to sleep

I get up
I go to work
I go to sleep

I get up
I go to work
I go to sleep

I get up
I go to work
I go to sleep

I get up
I go to work
I go to sleep

Vacation!
I am alive
Oh to dream
The possibilities
I am depressed
It is done

I get up
I go to work
I go to sleep

I get up
I go to work
I go to sleep

I get up
I go to work
I go to sleep

I get up
I go to work
I go to sleep

Being set in a path of the routine becomes something we all at some point become to comfortable with and with start to not live a life other than what it is.

Great write enjoyed a lot.

Thank goodness for vacation! And it seems so great and then... as you say... back to the routine. I wonder why life can't be a little more exciting? I was telling my daughter that if she really wanted a full life, and really enjoy herself to the fullest is to pick something she truely enjoys doing. So she is going into anime, drawing and all sorts. She has been drawing anime since she was about six years old. She is really good now. I wonder what her drawings will be like in tens years from now? After college and the new technologies... if we even have television at all?! Makes me wonder what all I will see in my life. I remember the black and white tv's then turned to color... the walk on the moon... oh the Eighttrack tapes! lol to a littler tape, to a cd and now it's all digital. Electric cars now, and cars that run on different fuels... the veri chip, the rising cost of living...

Definately a rising of technology even now! You buy a computer and in two years its old. pretty soon everything will be on one thing called 'It" . A computer with the mind of a man... and they call "IT" the beast.

Warm Regards,
Kristine
