Busy BeeA Poem by Dave "Doc" RogersRamblings in the midst of busy-nessBusy Bee by Doc Rogers
Busy bee The hive is astir Constant whirring of wings Endless pursuit of 'to do' Motion for motion's sake
To stop is to end life Motion has meaning 'To do' is the mantra More than one can do Yet more is required
Busy bee Black and yellow harbinger Walls of amber colored honey Cells requiring maintenance oft "Go. Do. Return. Go. Do. Return..."
The aristocracy of elders demanding Insights they only see "Do this." "Why can't you see it? I do." Days become weeks become months A blur of empty activity
Freedom from the hive is desired Except, there is no freedom To escape is death Symbiotic synergy demands Life is in the hive
Oh, wondering wasp, longing to be Open airs, no hive demands Only survival and the next field No one pressing No one buzzing do this or else
Busy bee, no longer needed Busy bee pushed from the hive Survival was dependent on them Now alone, must die Busy bee, where is thy business?
Chrysalis Morph Transform Change Grow
Busy bee, ever busy Never seeing time beyond Never time beyond 'to do' Busy bee, just do Busy bee, just do © 2008 Dave "Doc" RogersFeatured Review
